a humble offering to our home church

Excerpt from my journal last night: "Jesus, I learned this today...The leper came to you for healing. He said, 'If you are willing, you can heal me.' That's all he knows: you have the power to heal him if you want. Of course you do. So he's healed. His later actions make clear he doesn't know your character all that well. All he knows is you can heal him if you want. Jesus, you take his simple faith and transform him. He's not perfect and he clearly has far to go before he knows you. But I, I know you. I work for you. Yet I'm not healed. It's because I don't have faith.

"Lord, all my supposed knowledge of you is worth nothing if I don't believe in you; in your ability and desire to heal and deliver me from my sin. I learned you are 'willing' to heal me despite my lack of true understanding of who you are and how you work"

I thought this important to share. Jesus desires to restore us.
